Atzaro meets Oceanic Global..Oceanic X Ibiza
They know how to throw a party!
I love this concept of Oceanic Global it is a non -profit that taps into Universal passions of Art , music and emerge tech to educate individuals on issues impacting our oceans and provide them with solutions for driving positive change.
Oceanic x Ibiza is designed to transport participants through the depths of our ocean. Immersive content on-site will juxtapose the natural beauty of our ocean with the destructive impact of plastic and seafood consumption, as well as provide the Oceanic community with engaging solution for restoring ocean health.
Rammed and packed from St Lorenzo till St Juan people parking their car in the campo to walk to the venue to see the amazing sculptures made with the plastic found in the sea around Formentera and Ibiza, .
DJ’s, life music, dansers and weird looking creatures , beautiful people of Ibiza and from far , a Burning man look and feel , kids happily swimming in the amazing pool right in the middle of the party. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to not think this is all ‘normal’, it is divine and I am spoiled to be here and enjoy this party!
How great that they are putting back the little seahorses in the sea , and to have the turtles possess the sea again..
I can not tell you enough how I love this initiative and yesterday they showed their power of success.
I was mesmerised by the big and small solutions to save our planet , and so our little islands, from this crazy consumptive world we live in . Apparently in a year time we throw away enough plastic to circle the world not once, but 4 times,
Horrified to realise that areas of our Oceans contain 6 times more plastic than life!
70% of the world’s fish are fully exploited or depleted, only 3% of our Oceans are currently protected!
All commercial fisheries are expected to collapse by 2048, and there will be no more live coral reefs by 2025..
Trash accumulates in 5 ocean garbage patches, the largest being the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
A little bit more awareness will do ..and this is a super initiative to show that to young and old !
