Chase the high !
Zermatt is for me one of the most beautiful places to go skiing, not only because it has a lot of off and on interesting piste, it has divine restaurants, lovely people and of course it has the magical Matterhorn always watching you and for sure the endless no cars allowed romantic village it self. Especially at Christmas time you can not make me happier than to be there at that time cold but cute!
It does not take a lot to get into the local crowd, they embrace you and take you into their tribe, so we go up, ski, walk and climb the gletsjer, learn about the changes of the gletsjer shrinking.
Do not understand me wrong I know we are polluters as humans, we are, big time, we are over consuming, greedy and selfish, we are clueless but I do think that Mother Nature is and will always be more powerful than humanity and will win the race in the end. I hope we will come to a natural stop because we will simply not be able to consume as we do now, how,?I don’t know but I have faith. Maybe it is a change of conscious or money related or lack of interest, no need to follow on fashion protocols or need to compete etc, or we are at our maximum of wanting and something else will fill that void.
I don’t want to indulge in the next narrative of climate change how it is communicated at the moment. it feels unnatural.

Is it true that we never had so much snow and ice in the Nord pole since the last 10 years and why don’t we read about it, and is it true that the ice bears are at no point of extinctive species they are actually doing better than before? Which narrative are you following? There are many.

In the meantime I make photos of the snow and mountains never get enough of nature and action.

Little shout out to my friend who joins me on these trips, never give up even if it takes you 20 times of trying to accomplish where you want to be in life I know you will be where you want to be at one point in your life!

I love the saying I have read somewhere: the definition of discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want the most.

I agree. Patience is a virtue. The mountains teach me that.
