As society requires an artist should have a story ‘behind’ a painting. But sometimes there is none, I can tell you a lovely story and trick you into the world of illusions but there are times I just paint and have no conscious thoughts whilst making it and no power over the outcome. Sometimes years later it makes sense to me. I can tell you what I see and what I think it could be but I like to invite you, the viewer to make the story, challenge your thoughts in directions you usually don’t go.
In the end it will be hanging on your wall so the story must appeal to you in order to be amazed by it every day !
